This is what Will Gallagher did to get Harriton a huge win following a blowout loss. His full line was seven innings, two hits, zero runs, one walk, and 15 strikeouts. All but six outs were recorded via the strikeout.

All pitchers this game were impressive. Upper Darby starter Jake Frederick went six strong with three runs allowed. Tommy Chung finished the game for Upper Darby, throwing one scoreless inning.

There were only three hits total across the first three innings before Harriton got on the board in the fourth.

The first run of the game was driven in by Sam Bohnenkamp on a single to centerfield. After Harriton took the early lead, Gallagher went out and struck out the side for a huge shutdown inning.

In the fifth, Harriton tacked on two more insurance runs to give Gallagher some more leeway on the mound. The RBI’s came on base hits from both Eli Bloch and Calvin Costello.

Gallagher went and finished what he started, striking out eight of the last nine batters he faced to log a complete game shutout, and a win.

With the good pitching in the game, someone unfortunately had to take the loss as Frederick was credited with the loss despite the strong performance.

Harriton moves to 3-5 in the Central League and will face #1 Haverford (7-0 in CL) on April 22 at home at 4:00.

Upper Darby remains winless in the Central League (0-7) and will face Marple Newtown (4-3 in CL) on Monday at home at 3:45.
