Delco Baseball Now was created in the Summer of 2022 as a way to promote Delaware County Baseball in the form of podcasts, blog/news articles, graphics, highlight reels, and whatever else the people could want. Our podcast was created to give a platform to the amazing athletes and coaches that we have in this area, and allow them to tell all of their stories.
Brendan Ricciardi was the original founder of the company, as he ultimately created this out of boredom while recovering from an injury. Ricciardi was a First Team All-Central League selection in 2017 with Strath Haven before joining the Club Baseball team at Penn State, where he would win a National Championship in 2023. He now plays for Wayne in the Delco League where he has won three titles.
Ben Thorpe was the second member to join this staff full-time as he came on to help cover high school baseball in the Spring of 2023. A 2016 graduate of Springfield, Ben was selected as an All-Delco Honorable Mention before playing Division III baseball at Elizabethtown College. Thorpe now pitches for the Upper Darby Blue Sox in the Delco League and was a part of the 2021 Delco League Champion.
A 2023 graduate of Chichester High School, Dylan helped out a little bit during the 2023 season but has really came on to a more consistent basis here in 2024. Now a freshman at nearby Villanova, Dylan focuses mostly on Del Val baseball for us while also adding in some photography as well.
Mike Livingston came on board in the spring of 2024 to help us with our college and PCL baseball coverage. A junior at Carroll, Mike also writes for the Carroll Times and has been published in the Philadelphia Inquirer. He was also recently nominated for the Delco Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2025 and will await to see if he will be inducted.
Declan Wayman joined our team on a part time basis during the 2023 season, and is now back as an intern for his senior project in the 2024 season. Currently a senior at Harriton High School where he bats cleanup for the baseball team, Declan will look to make the club baseball team at West Virginia University this Fall.
Ian White Jr. is one of our three members that is working with Delco Baseball Now as their senior project. A Malvern native, Ian is a pitcher for The Haverford School and will be attending East Carolina University in North Carolina to continue his education and baseball career this fall
Fred Jordan is another one of our three high school seniors that are interning with us for their senior project this spring. A Ridley native, Fred went viral back in the winter after his epic tangent on our show about why he choose to attend Haverford.
