CHICHESTER, PA — It certainly has to be fun as a pitcher when your offense gives you nine runs in the first inning.

Julian Sparks can also thank himself for part of that as he drove in two of those nine runs for Chichester, who has not lost a Del Val game since before we knew what COVID was.

Chichester belted 12 hits including two from Cole Sanford, two from Zach Murray, two from from Sparks, and two from Chase Brown. Alex Kester also drove in three runs, Gavin Derrickson drove in two.

Chichester got three pitchers some work today as they each threw one scoreless inning with Julian Sparks, Matt Johanson and Ryan Bartholf chipping in.

If the weather allows it, Chichester will welcome in Delco Christian Friday afternoon for a non-conference matchup before Del Val play resumes on the road at Interboro.
